Macho Man was supposed to be on the face team, but Jake the Snake had Damian bite him to get him out of the match. Sid was to replace Macho, but he got injured. They then kicked Jake out of the match due to what he did to Savage, leaving a 3 on 3. --Sgt. Slaughter replaced Neidhart on their team due to him being injured in storyline in a match with Ric Flair. --Tito Santana replaced Ricky Steamboat on Duggan's team due to Steamboat leaving the WWE. --Hercules replaced a wrestler by the name of Big Bully Busick on Col. haha lasted forever. He was so scary at this Survivor Series. His promo before the match he says in the creepiest voice possible: "Hulk Hogan you must face your reality. I am the reality of death." Lol used to scare the shit out of me.
Anyways, thanks it gets me pumped too I love posting history especially for the major PPVs. I love looking at the old school posters and seeing the interesting notes of people who were supposed to be in certain matches but couldn't.

Survivor: Lex Luger Match of the Night: The opening math Team Razor vs. Team IRS Interesting Notes:--Mr. Perfect was supposed to be on Team Razor, but due to not being able to appear, Macho appeared as a mystery partner on the night of the event. --On Shawn Michael's team, the Knights were masked but their identities are as follows: Greg Valentine was the blue one, Barry Horowitz was the red one, and Jeff Gaylord was the black one. --Owen Hart was the only Hart eliminated from the Family Feud match, hosted by Ray Combs. He then returned after the match to turn heel and yell at his brother Bret, blaming him for the elimination. --Men on a Mission and the Bushwhackers all dressed up in facepaint and green wigs to represent the four Doinks. Guts and Glory (Captain Lex Luger, Mabel, Adam Bomb, Billy Gunn, and Bart Gunn) in a 5 on 5 Traditional Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match. Survivors: Bam Bam Bigelow and King Kong Bundy. --The Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. Yokozuna w/ Mr. Fuji and Jim Cornette in a Casket Match. Match of the Night: The Opener and the Casket Main Event. Interesting Notes:--This was the final Survivor Series to take place on Thanksgiving Eve. --Jerry Lawler and Doink had been feuding. Lawler brought in 3 little people and Doink did the same. The elimination match was then booked for Survivor Series. --The submission match between Backlund and Bret Hart had a special rule. The match couldn't end until the cornerman threw the towel in. Bret's cornerman was Bulldog, and Backlund's was Owen. Bulldog was knocked out and Bret's Mom took over cornerman duties. Backlund put Bret in the Crossface Chicken Wing, and Owen pleaded with his mother to throw the towel in. Owen was fake crying and when she threw the towel in he jumped around celebrating that Backlund had beaten his brother for the title. --Chuck Norris was the guest enforcer for the Casket Match to avoid the outside interference that cost the Undertaker the original Casket Match and Royal Rumble '94. --Razor Ramon came back from 5 on 1 odds to be the soul survivor in the opening match. This is because Diesel had the match won but HBK demanded he hold Razor up for the sweetchin. Michaels accidentally kicked Diesel which caused them to argue on the outside. The other three team members tried to break it up and all 5 were counted out. HBK then told an interviewer that he's vacating the tag titles and his tag team with Diesel was disbanded. --Lawler yelled at his team for taking credit for the win and then all six midgets turned on him, followed by Doink hitting him in the face with a pie.

Interesting Notes:--This is the first Survivor Series event to not take place on either Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Eve, and the first to take place on a Sunday ending the T.G. Tradition. --The Undertaker eliminated all 3 members of King Mabel's team, leaving him by himself. Mabel got intentionally counted out to secure the win for the Darkside. --The last of the Survival Matches was the first ever Wild Card Match, meaning that heels and faces had to co-exist on the same team which is why HBK and Ahmed were paired with Sid/Bulldog and Ramon was paired with three heels in Yoko, Owen, and Dean Dougals.

Owen Hart w/ the British Bulldog, Jim Neidhart, and Doug Furnas & Phil Lafon for the Intercontinental Championship. --Shawn Michaels def. Bret Hart to win the WWE Championship. Match of the Night: Bret vs. Shawn Interesting Notes:--This was Bret Hart's final WWE match as this is the place of the infamous Montreal Screwjob which saw Vince call for the bell when Michaels had Bret in his own hold, the Sharpshooter. Bret then spit on the chairman, broke equipment, and punched him backstage before leaving for WCW. --This was the second time in Survivor Series history that Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels fought in the main event for the World Title. Back in 1992, the two fought in a Champions vs. Champions match. Shawn's IC title was not on the line. Bret won the match cleanly, ironically, with the sharpshooter. --5 out of 7 matches ended with a heel victory. --3 out of 4 of the Survival matches ended with just one soul survivor from their team. --This was the first Survivor Series to not take place anywhere near Thanksgiving, as the previous two at least took place the Sunday before.

Jeff Jarrett w/ Debra --Steve Austin def. the Big Bossman by DQ --X-Pac and Steven Regal fought to a Double DQ --Ken Shamrock def. Goldust --The Rock def. the Big Bossman Deadly Games WWF Title Tournament Quarter Final Round:--Undertaker w/ Paul Bearer def. Kane --Mankind def. Al Snow w/ Head --the Rock def. Ken Shamrock --Sable def. Jacquelin w/ Marc Mero to win the Women's Championship. Deadly Games WWF Title Tournament Semi-Finals:--The Rock def. the Undertaker --Mankind had a bye into the finals. --The New Age Outlaws (Roadogg and Billy Gunn) def. D'Lo and Mark Henry and the Headbangers (Mosh and Thrasher) in a Triple Threat Tag Match to retain the Tag Titles. Deadly Games WWF Title Tournament Finals:--The Rock def. Mankind to win the vacant WWF Championship. Match of the Night: Tournament Final between Rock/Mankind Interesting Notes:--The Undertaker and Kane both pinned Austin in a Triple Threat Match for the title. No Champion was declared so the two fought at Judgment Day with Austin as ref. Austin counted a fall that didn't exist and thusly the title was still vacant, setting up the Deadly Games tournament. --This was the first tournament for the WWE Championship since WrestleMania IV ten years prior to this event. --This was the first Survivor Series to not have any Traditional Survival matches. They figured the survival tournament was enough of a survival theme. --The Bossman was in the tournament twice. After getting eliminated for beating Austin with his nightstick, causing a DQ, he was then thrown in as Triple H's replacement vs. the Rock. The Rock rolled him up and pinned him in what was the shortest match in WWE history, 4 seconds. --Undertaker and Kane both got byes in the first round and kicked off the second round against each other, since they were both the reasons for the tournament. --The swerve of the event was when Corporate Mankind got screwed by Vince McMahon and the Rock. The Rock turned heel and won the World Title. If you look back, the Bossman interfered in all of the Rock's matches seemingly to screw him out of a win, but he actually aided the Rock to victory. First, he got rolled up in 4 seconds against the Rock. Second, he threw a nightstick to Shamrock in the ring, but the Rock intercepted it and used it to win. Third, he interupted the Rock's People's Elbow long enough for Kane to come in and chokeslam him, giving him the win by DQ. Too add to the screwjob from the year prior, the Rock put Mankind in the sharpshooter as Vince called for the bell.
